this support means a lot to me, because i always feel really vulnerable when i call out blogs i like (which is why i almost never do it). i hope you don’t mind that im replying to this publicly

it wasn’t that it was “mean,” because that has connotations of hurtful intent. that language obviously came from a place of privileged ignorance, which is why her response was so cavalierly dismissive. and that reaction disturbed me so much more

i think its important for all of us to remember that we are all ignorant, and are bound to make a million mistakes like this in our lifetimes, and getting defensive/evasive does not help anyone (no not even urself)

its just like being an artist, grow by accepting and considering criticism :^0
