Q: What’s the deal with these hero choosings? A: It’s my new warm-up ritual that I do before starting my day’s work on comics. I randomly generate dudes with some sort of prompt or gimmick. Q: What’s the gimmick in this one? A: The imposition of straight lines. In the second and third rows there are straight horizontal lines that I had to incorporate into my characters. In column 3 I drew straight vertical lines, and diagonal lines in panels 1 and 5. So panels 5, 6, and 9 had two restrictions (9 should have had three, but I chickened out).
